He took the burden off our shoulders and proceeded to organize all parties, provide great guidance, and took care of every detail. What impressed us most about Kyle is that he really cares about the families. From the way he handled the details to fulfilling our wishes, his words and actions were kind and compassionate.

All of the staff was extremely helpful even going the extra mile to file the life insurance paperwork on our behalf and billing the life insurance company directly. I will forever be thankful for the people at Cunningham Turch who helped make the planning of a very sad occasion so much more bearable. Something I didn't want to do, but had to have and with which I had only negative prior experience. My husband died unexpectedly. Because of prior loss in his family, I generally knew what he would prefer but had no specific guidance.
1 star being a poor experience, 5 stars being an excellent experience. We had hired another funeral home when my husband passed. They dropped the ball and left us in the lurch. They backed out two days before the funeral. This is the cost to purchase a casket from the funeral home. You may choose to purchase a casket online or elsewhere, if you'd wish.

They significantly lightened the extraordinary load placed on my family by helping us put together a service that allowed us to truly celebrate the life of a wonderful man. Every aspect of the service was personalized to reflect the nature and spirit of my husband. The staff’s attention to detail was impeccable and they were even helpful in areas that extended beyond their own capabilities by recommending the name of a wonderful caterer and beautiful burial site.
Gary is one of the best there is! I am from NC and my loved one who passed lived in Alexandria. Staffs are accommodating, helpful and funny. If you are not completely satisfied with our services, we will not charge you for that portion of the service.

The funeral home is quite nice inside, compared to any other funeral home I have been to in the past. Our funeral director, Jae, did an amazing job coordinating the arrangements for visitation and with Quantico National Cemetery, where my father was buried. In addition, their prices were quite a bit lower than the other funeral homes in the area. In every manner our expectations were greatly exceeded. When we went in to discuss details the lady we went was not accommodating and rude. Gary Maxwell, the funeral director for Cunningham Turch happened to witness all this and while he started off by trying to assist the other company, we ended up switching our needs and using his.
Communication, the care was dealt with so delicately and professionally. This place helped lay my father to rest in such a loving and dignified manner. We strongly advise against entering into a contract with a funeral home that prepays it for your own funeral.
They asked me to wait a moment and then took me through the doors of the chapel. There was a full blown display of appropriate videos and a beautifully lighted room set up just for me. They spared nothing even for one person.
Cunningham & Turch staff were beyond helpful, kind, attentive, and patient. I cannot recommend them enough, and should I EVER need the services of a Northern Virginia funeral home again, it WILL be Cunningham & Turch Funeral Home. Amazing Office Manager and his wonderful team. We initially were going with another company but they were so rude and Gary immediately jumped in to help us.
In our lowest moments, Gary and the team were Heaven sent. They went over and above, all the way to assisting with necessary documents required by two different embassies. Even after the service, Gary still helped with whatever was required to repatriate my Aunt's remains. I should not forget to mention how great they were with my children.
Arrangements in place, I was forced to choose a funeral home for him to rest mere minutes after his death. Fortunately, my daughter did some quick research and found Cunningham Turch for which I am still extremely grateful. Cunningham Turch was a godsend for my family.

One of our requirements was to have her ashes shipped to a cemetery in New York. No problem.Ms Turner and the staff were very caring and helpful. They made a very difficult situation bearable. I highly recommend their services. We went with the upgraded funeral service and it was the perfect tribute to honor his life. The staff was helpful, compassionate, and made themselves available for any and all questions.
There will be no credit for services or merchandise provided above which are not taken by the patron, except as specified in this contract. 17.All transportation to and from places within 40 miles of Cunningham Turch Funeral Home is included. Transportation of the body within the area of Maryland, DC and Virginia beyond the 40 miles will be charged at $3.44 per loaded mile. Road trips to New York City vicinity , New Jersey or Pennsylvania will be charged at $919.
This was a Saturday and Gary was kind enough to help locate a receiving funeral home in the other state, understanding that we may not have much time. As it turned out we lost our family member early the next morning. Kyle is such a genuine and caring professional that he made a very difficult time for our family a seamless experience.
